Simón Bolívar a giant figure in the history of Latin America dedicated a special place in his upbringing to Hipólita a humble slave who was Bolívar's wet nurse and mother figure. Venezuelan poet laureate Andrés Eloy Blanco captures a confrontational scene between Hipólita and Bolívar's mother. Venezuelan conductor and composer Maibel Troia translates the intensity of the moment in a highly rhythmic and dramatic composition that combines accented repeating melodies with chromatic harmonies building towards a climatic finale. Gentry Publications is pleased to present one of the jewels of the 20th century Venezuelan choral repertoire.

Premiered at the ACDA National Convention in 2017 this is a glorious arrangement. Stacey has delivered a new setting of a favorite American hymn teeming with those rich and luscious harmonies that make you swoon. The vocal ranges stretch high andlow and the sounds are rewarding. John Dowland (1562-1626) has been rediscovered thanks mainly to a new album by the recording artist Sting which features the music of this great English Renaissance composer. Edited by scholar Dr. William Belan the music isprovided in contemporary notation as well as in individual parts as they were first presented.

Oh my this one is fun! The Dance of the Heart is the title in English and this heart is on fire. With maracas and bongo accompaniment the choir sings the words that describe a beautiful dancer. Before you know it the dancer has been beckoned to join you and now it is also a love song. Fabulous melody and spirit this song will be twirling in many a high school choir.

Bryan Jeffery Leech pastor and song writer blessed us with scores of hymn-songs. This anthem presents a bold and dignified praise for the gift of music. Veteran arranger Benji Harlan gave us an SATB setting that has sounded in the choir loft for many years. This new SAB setting which still works with the original organ and/or brass accompaniment is a gift for the choir with fewer voices. Venezuelan composer Beatriz Bilbao offers us Encore Un Mystere for mixed choir a cappella. The poem belongs to the Philosophical Sonnets of the Count of Saint Germain a renowned spiritual and philosophical guru. In a basically tonal harmonic movement the texture of this work elaborates in a profound simplicity throughout three clearly defined sections. The core exploration of the idea of nothing so eloquently expressed in the text is explored at the third and final section where the voices freely express sounds of murmurs whispers breaths etc. while the dynamic contour moves from mezzo-piano to nothing. A beautiful piece to program in fall and spring concerts for collegeand community choirs. Medium in difficulty.

Conductor Cristian Grases has infused his charismatic personality into this delightful composition. He brings energy and life to the Scripture texts from the Rule of St. Benedict. The accompaniment dances up and down the keyboard while the choir tosses rhythmic fragments of the text to one another. The singers unite for the chorus statement which is full of praise and meaning. Great for treble choirs at church or school. Medium in difficulty.

Stacey Gibbs has done it again! He's given us a fresh setting of a spiritual that will appeal to high school college community and church choirs. Leaping into a vibrant tempo from the very start this arrangement carries a bluesy flavor as well. Although it has some divisi writing it is less-complicated than many of his renditions making it especially suitable for high school choirs and festivals.

Commissioned by the National AGO Rosephanye created THE CRY OF JEREMIAH for choir organ and orchestra. The 4 movement work has been a tremendous success also available with a reduced percussion accompaniment. This is the dynamic opening movement which demands our attention from start to finish. A great anthem for church or concert.

2014 marks the 200th anniversary of the writing of Francis Scott Key's piece that became our National Anthem. Tim Sharp Executive Director of ACDA saw an opportunity for choirs all across America to stand together in harmony and celebration. His arrangement is based on the improvisation performed by Rachmaninoff an American citizen and can be sung a cappella or accompanied (see NMK1001/HL00125145) from National Music Publishers.

This title was one of Rosephanye Powells first publications. Available for SATB and SSA there had been a call for an SAB edition so here it is. The chorus part is easily mastered and the solo lines are a delight. Excellent as a church anthem thisSpiritual includes a piano part and works well as a concert piece for middle school high school and older. Easy.
