This is the American Sign Language (ASL) version which has something of a twist at the end. Squish! was written as Composer-in-Residence with Cuatro Puntos and was commissioned with funds from the Connecticut Officeof the Arts. The premiere took place at the American School for the Deaf (the oldest permanent school for the deaf in the United States founded in 1817) in West Hartford Connecticut on 7th December 2016. The Tiger is a 1995 piece based on the poem The Tiger by William Blake though it is not a straightforward setting of the work. Part of the poem appears in English and a second part in French German Italian and Spanish. The entire poem appears in a compressed central section which has been extracted for a shorter version entitled The Tiglet.British composer Giles Swayne broke into international consciousness with his huge work CRY for twenty-eight amplified Voices premiered by the BBC Singers. He has written many works for Chorus among his oeuvre. Swayne has travelled extensively in Ghana and Senegal and the percussiveness of The Tiger clearly manifests that influence.

Bob Chilcott's Dancing in Memory's Stream for SSA and Piano. This joyous and upbeat piece sets a text by Delphine Chalmers full of vivid imagery of childhood memories and with a compelling refrain: 'Though the years may make us strangers our voices set the ripples dancing in memory's stream'. Alternation between passages of 4/4 and 7/8 gives a spirited offbeat feel and the pleasingly simple melodic lines and long unison passages make the piece especially suitable for school or children's choirs. Bob Chilcott has been involved with choral music all his life first as a Chorister and then a Choral Scholar at King's College Cambridge. Later he sang andcomposed music for 12 years with the King's Singers. His experiences with that group his passionate commitment to young and amateur choirs and his profound belief that music can unite people have inspired him both to compose full-time and through proactive workshopping to promote choral music worldwide.

Nobody Does It Better sung by Carly Simon came from the James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me . Marvin Hamlisch and Carole Bayer Sager’s song marked the first time a bond song had not shared its title with that of the film - since the tradition started. It stood as an excellent pop song in its own right and has endured as Carly Simon’s longest-charting hit and the title of her greatest hits album. This choral version has been arranged for mixed voice SAB choir with Piano accompaniment by Thomas Lydon.

It is hard to believe that all of the five works included in this edition were previously unknown to musicians. So there are in fact unknown works by Beethoven for singers to discover! The five short vocal works for several voices are ideally meant to be sung by soloists accompanied by piano obbligato. There are three Serenades (Nos. 1–3) and two original arrangements of extremely well-known choral compositions namely the “Bundeslied” op. 122 and the “Opferlied” op. 121b.

A unique guide to teaching unaccompanied singing! Gitika Partington's a cappella arrangements are used by youth and community choirs around the world. Gitika believes in the sensational power of group singing bringing people together to express joy and celebration through song. Not being able to read music is no obstacle and Gitika's tips and the original arrangements included here demonstrate just how rewarding and inclusive teaching a cappella by ear and gesture can be! Gitika Partington is a singer/songwriter vocal arranger teacher and choral director. She has an MA in choral education and holds many other musical qualifications. Sheruns regular 'popular and world style' singing workshops as well as national training sessions for adults and children. In addition she runs three adult community choirs where all the music is learned by ear and is mostly self arranged. One of Gitika's major loves is a cappella vocal arranging which she does for her three choirs and her vocal workshops. Her arrangements are used by youth and community choirs across the UK and internationally. This book contains the first of many of her arrangements she would like to share even more widely. She is a member of the Natural Voice Practitioner Network an organisation that believes in singing as a spontaneous way of expressing joy celebration and grief and as a medium for binding communities together. Gitika shares the network's belief that singing together should be available to all and is not about having 'a good voice'. All of her groups are non-audition and open to anyone who wants to sing.
