These Six Little Tuba Pieces were written in late 1977 and early 1978 at the request of a talented student Emma Parkinson then aged 15. She had rightly complained that having made the effort and achieved her Grade 5(with distinction in less than a year from taking up the instrument) there was little else available that was worth playing either in terms of development or enjoyment. Here we see an exquisite response to that complaintwith these are six contrasting pieces written for Tuba and Piano by Gordon Jacob. Two tuba solo parts are included one notated in the treble clef and the other notated in the bass clef. Set as part of the ABRSM Grade 6Tuba Syllabus.

For Violin And Piano-Commissioned to create folk song arrangements Adler chose two compelling Southern Appalachian folk songs brought to our shores by English immigrants and having origins in Elizabethan times. Married and Single Life is a slow dance while Brennan on the Moor recalling the location in Britain and transplanting it to Virginia is a reel - a rambunctious dance constantly changing partners always keeping on dancing until the participants fall exhausted. Both of these short movements are variations on the original tune which is heard in its entirety at least once in the piece.

Wonderful Tonight is the tender and memorable love song classic by Eric Clapton . This arrangement for SSA choir with Piano accompaniment captures the sweet and heartfelt feel of the piece with lush harmonies and a re-imagining of Clapton's unforgettable Guitar lead line on the Piano.

This book is the perfect aid to help beginning to advanced Drummers learn four-way coordination or limb independence. Terrestre was commissioned to celebrate the composer’s fiftieth birthday and while the name Terrestre calls to mind earthbound things the score suggests the physical sensation of taking wing. The first of the two movements l’Oiseau dansant describes an aboriginal tale of a bird that teaches a village to dance while the second movement l’Oiseau un satellite infime (infinitesimal) takes flight diving and soaring.The flutist is called upon to sing as he or she plays sometimes matching the Flute note sometimes harmonizing with it. Musicianship of the highest order is required of every member of the ensemble. KaijaSaariaho is a contemporary Finnish composer living and working in Paris and much influenced by the electronic experimentations of her association of IRCAM although Terrestre is entirely acoustic in itsinstrumentation. She gained international renown for her first opera l’Amour du Loin and continues a prolific compositional life with a wide range of international performances.

Commissioned by George Watson's College to mark the Millennium. The work was first performed in December 2000 at St. Giles Cathedral Edinburgh as part of the College's Festival Of Nine Lessons And Carols by the choir ofGeorge Watson's College.
