Musical dialogues between two cellos- Starter Duets for Cello contains a few arrangements of traditional tunes but mostly new compositions inspired by the classical tradition - with some occasional contemporary elements. From the very beginning these duets can be played alongside any cello method. The upper and lower parts are equal in terms of difficulty and musical expression.

In 1975 a new dance form took the Latin-Amercan areas of the Bronx by storm. After observing the frenzy of the dancers in that area Van McCoy composed a melody that successfully took its basis from Latin and R&B. The Hustle was an instant success and made a large contribution to the evolution of disco music in the 1970's. Your band will not be able to resist the fantastic groove and drive of this evergreen disco hit fantastically arranged by Lorenzo Bocci.

The sparkling Oxford Intrada is based on the well-known Christmas carol O Come All Ye Faithful. The piece takes its name from the place where it was first performed namely Oxford Cathedral in England.

Modern Arrangements of Old Favourites-The compositions of George Gershwin have a special place in jazz music. Every professional jazz musician knows the Gershwin songs. Although composed long ago - in the first half of the previous century - they remain ever popular. Simply because of the genius of the melodies rhythms and texts the Gershwin tunes have transcended their original conception and are still extremely popular. In his own characteristic manner Rik Elings has arranged these Gershwin melodies in a contemporary and interesting fashion. Everyone - amateur musicians students of jazz and audiences alike - will take pleasure in Eling’s inspiring exploration of the Gershwin oeuvre. Enjoy!

Variable wind quintet- Jingle Bell Rock is the name of a famous Christmas song. Ever since it was first released by Bobby Helms in 1957 it is frequently broadcast around Christmas time every year. It has been performed by many artists but the version by Helms is still the best known. Its title and some of its lyrics have been taken from the traditional Christmas standard Jingle Bells . There are also brief references to other popular songs such as Rock Around the Clock . Helms’ version of the song was performed in the crossover style known as rockabilly and nowadays it sounds more like country than rock ’n roll. A noteworthy cover version of the song was recorded by Bill Haley &his Comets (who scored an enormous hit with the aforementioned Rock Around the Clock in the 1950s) in 1968 for United Artists Records. Intended for a seasonal single release it was decided not to release the recording and it was considered lost for almost thirty years until it was eventually issued in the mid-1990s. For Brass Quintet-The controversial German composer conductor and music theorist Richard Wagner (1813-1883) is mainly known for his dramatic operas. The wedding march issued in this edition is from the opera Lohengrin which Wagner composed in 1848.Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1809-1847) was a versatile German composer of the early Romantic period. He was considered the child prodigy after Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The wedding march issued here is from Ein Sommernachtstraum (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) the overture to which he had already written by the time he was seventeen but which was only completed in 1842.

30 very easy duets for violin- Tunes for Two features new duets together with arrangements of famous melodies from around the World. This collection can be used on it’s own however it also makes very good supplementary material to work alongside both volumes of the method book Play the Violin ! Initially only the open strings come into play with use of the first three finger patterns following later. Only the first position is used and both parts are of about the same standard.

For Saxophone Quartet-The American composer George Gershwin (1898-1937) wrote the energetic song I Got Rhythm with lyrics by his brother Ira Gershwin in 1930 for the musical Girl Crazy. The story of Girl Crazy takes place in the theatre world of the 1930s. The Gaiety Theater in Deadrock Nevada is practically bankrupt but the rich banker’s son Bobby Child turns things around. His passion for the theatre leads to the customary love vicissitudes and comical intricacies - and a new successful show.I Got Rhythm now a jazz standard has been performed over the years by numerous famous and not-so-famous artists. The chord scheme has become so well-known that it has been named rhythm changes and is oftenused by jazz musicians.

Poema Sinfonico per Orchestra-Ottorino Respighi was one of the most well known Italian composersfrom the beginning of the twentieth century. His style is influencedby the French impressionists Rimsky-Korsakov and Richard Strauss but with his very own touch. Respighi’s fame is mostly based on hisinstrumental works especially the orchestral triptych of symphonicpoems which included Feste Romane. This skilful adaptation forconcert band retains all the excitement of the original.

Swing it William!-This lively work includes a ‘jazzed-up’ version of the Dutch national anthem! Many jazz elements help this arrangement fly by like a whirlwind. Let your band simply swing with this fun piece.
