Carl Teike est né en 1864 à Altdamm en Allemagne. Dès son plus jeune âge il se passionne pour les marches militaires dont il s’inspirera pour ses futures compositions. Carl Teike est l’un des plus grands compositeurs de marches. Il est notamment l’auteur de deux marches traditionnelles célèbres dans le monde entier : Alte Kameraden et Graf Zeppelin en hommage au célèbre constructeur de dirigeables allemand Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin. Gerd et Manuel Huber en ont réalisé un arrangement élégant et captivant par la beauté des mélodies.

It illustrates Mozart’s ambition and self-confidence. Throughout Mozart’s lifetime Die Entführung aus dem Serail was his most successful work outside of Vienna. It is still a much-performed opera.Tohru Takahashi has made a lively arrangement of the overture in its original key C major. It will sound even better if your band has Turkish percussioninstruments at its disposal.

After a brilliant introduction a slow march follows which symbolises the first steps toward adulthood. Aspects such as love and a sense of security that are indispensable for a positive development are presented in a calm middle section after which an energetic closing part refers to the rebelliousness of an adolescent. The grand finale of Prevision expresses the grandfather’s and composer’s positive picture of the future.
