S 144- The Trois Études de concert which was written at the beginning of Liszt's work as a conductor in Weimar appeared in three separate books in 1849. The original manuscript which was lost until recently in the Bibliothèque musical François-Lang in Royaumont (north of Paris) reveals many details that have been overlooked or not corrected so far. Therefore it served as the main source for the new URTEXT edition presented here. The German and the French first editions of 1849 were used as a source of inspiration. The edition contains also Liszt’s short cadenzas to the Etude No. 3 and his alternative version of the Coda which might also be interesting for the performancepractice of our time.

Out Of The Long Dark explores the idea of the past and the present as seen from a male perspective — that of son brother father. It looks forward to an uncertain future where mankind is beset by difficulties. Its musical language is dense and dark. The Complete Verlaine Settings (1887–1894) Critical edition-Gabriel Fauré’s seventeen settings of the poetry of Paul Verlaine mark the biggest single stylistic leap of his compositional career and arguably one of the high points of the entire art song repertoire. The present edition contains the threeindividual settings Claire de lune Spleen and Prison together with the op. 58 “Venetian” songs and the magnificient cycle La Bonne Chanson.With its focus both practical and scholarly this new Complete Edition of songs aims to encourage creative confident and wellinformed performance. Saint-Saëns' Sonata For Oboe And Piano Op.166 is a beautiful work which will provide an enjoyable challenge to the advancing oboist. This edition has been edited by Reiner Zimmermann. The solo oboe part is also included on a separate insert.
