Grieg's only piano sonata the Sonata in E Minor Op.7 is a beautiful and sincere work however it is greatly eclipsed by his famous Piano Concerto in A Minor Op.16 which stands as one of the greatest works in the solo piano repertoire. This work reflects a young and passionate artist who is greatly influenced by traditional Norwegian folk music.
