Le Sacre du Printemps- Stravinsky's The Rite Of Spring is regarded as one of the finest and most progressive examples of orchestration ever composed. The ballet caused riotous objections when first performed with cluster harmonies that heralded the end of the dominance of diatonic tonalities and the beginnings of an avant-garde approach that would consume postmodern composition. The orchestral writing following in the footsteps of innovators including Richard Strauss and Claude Debussy is remarkable in its depth and colour coaxing previously unheard sounds and instrumental combinations. One of the most distinctive achievements of 20th century composition presented here in fullorchestral score.

Home on the Range is one of the best known Cowboy Songs. The harmonies used in this arrangement express the longing nature of the text. The beautiful tune of the refrain along with the sad violin help to create that feeling of desire to somehow grasp the beauty of the land. Arranged for SA Violin and Piano by Mark Hierholzer.

With final chorus 'An die Freude' (Ode to Joy) Between 1996 and 2000 Bärenreiter published scholarly-critical editions of Beethoven's Nine Symphonies edited by the first class musicologist Jonathan Del Mar. The editorial process was a huge undertaking because of the complex source situation regarding Beethoven's Symphonies culminating in the Choral Symphony which came down to us in nearly 20 different sources. So it was not surprising that Bärenreiter's new Urtext edition caused a considerable stir in the music world. Since publication Del Mar's edition enjoys the unabashed praise of conductors performers and critics alike and has become the most widely usedpublication of the Beethoven Symphonies which can be heard not only every day in concert halls but also on CD recordings by John Eliot Gardiner David Zinman Jos van Immerseel and Claudio Abbado. Full scores study scores and complete performance material to Beethoven’s Nine Symphonies are available for sale. Beethoven's famous concerto for Violin and Orchestra has appeared in many editions over the last 150 years but none has truly done justice to the work. Now the acclaimed Beethoven scholar Jonathan Del Mar has achieved just that. Working with all known sources Del Mar finally presents us with Beethoven's intended solo Violin articulation dynamics and slurring; there are even note corrections in the solo part. Additions made by various editors and violin players over the years have been deleted. For the first time we also now have clarity regarding the meaning of Beethoven's Solo and Tutti markings. All in all a groundbreaking scholarly-critical edition;a must have for every violin player orchestra and music library.

Standard choral work with a manageable reduced orchestration. A stylistically appropriate as well as tried and tested arrangement. Compatible with Vocal score H 2924-90. Dvo ák ’s Requiem for soloists choir and orchestra is one of the highlights within the international choral repertoire. Now Bärenreiter is presenting this work in an arrangement by Joachim Linckelmann with chamber Orchestra based on the full score from the Complete Edition of the Works by Antonín Dvo ák . The arrangement dispenses with all the brass instruments except for a single Horn; all that remains of the Percussion arethe Timpani; the Organ has also been taken out. The cor anglais and Bass Clarinet parts can be replaced by an Oboe and Clarinet (ossia staves in score and parts). This arrangement which judiciously reduces the richness of Dvo ák ’s original orchestration makes the work available to a broader range of performers outside professional circles.

‘Toccata Festiva’ was commissioned in 1994 by the Dutch Brass Band Championships. The wind band version was made a year later by the composer himself. Historically speaking the toccata is considered to be one of the first independent instrumental forms for keyboard instruments. Originally the toccata was typically more or less improvised later this musical form was given a more regulated structure. Both elements are used in the ‘Toccata Festiva’: on the one hand the different themes are developed freely on the other the piece has an orderly structure. It is in a three part form (quick-slow-quick) and includes both strong rhythmical figures and broad melodic lines. Partof the composition is written in a more or less archaic tone idiom referring to the period from which the toccata form originates (16th century).

for Pianoforte and Orchestra op. 37- Urtext edition reflecting the latest musicological research. With many corrections in the solo part and orchestral parts. Piano reduction with a separate solo Piano part. A must for pianists orchestras and Beethoven scholars. Beethoven ’s Piano Concerto No.3 is the only concerto where no authentic manuscript exists for the solo part. The autograph of the score is available whereby the articulation dynamics and pedal markings are for the most part absent. However Beethoven oversaw the first printed edition of the solo part (1804) with great diligence. Plate corrections bear witness to the care withwhich Beethoven placed slurs and pedal markings in order to be consistent and unambiguous. By means of a thorough examination of the sources this new Urtext edition presents many corrections in terms of articulation dynamics and notes. In particular the orchestral parts have been corrected for the first time since Beethoven ’s lifetime.
