Sergei Prokofiev's Piano Sonata No.4 in C minor Op.29 was completed in 1917 and was one of the last compositions he made before leaving the Soviet Union for nearly two decades. It is a fabulous and formidible sonata for Piano solo with intense and tanquil sections.

Vocalise op.34 no.14 is a beautiful melody. It is an all-time favourite orchestral piece that flows above the lush chords that begin this work and weaves in and out with additional themes. This creates a full arrangement true to the original. Being more musically demanding than technically demanding this delightful piece will find its place in many recitals. This particular work is for violin and piano accompaniment.

Roberto Gerhard's Dances From Don Quixote (1947) for solo Piano.

The edition is part of the Trinity syllabus 2007 (grade 1 & 5). James MacMillan's music is notable for its extraordinary directness energy and emotional power. These seven intermediate pieces for Cello and Piano were commissioned with funding from the Scottish Arts Council. The piano accompaniment part is also included on a separate insert.

Based on a text by visionary St. Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) this a cappella motet is characterized by chant-like melody lines and textures ranging from simple unison and two-part counterpoint to rich chordal utterances.
